Applicable Federal Rates (AFR) for December 2003
Under §1274 of the Internal Revenue Code, if your firm has made a loan due more than 6 months after the date of a sale or exchange (such as taking a note from a buyer) with no stated interest rate, the IRS will impute an interest rate (there are exceptions for installment sales or contracts).  The IRS imputed interest rates for December 2003 are as follows:
